With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Albert T. Candy of Lawton, Oklahoma, born in Oak Park, Illinois, who passed away on April 18, 2023 at the age of 96. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Thomas Candy Jr. and Susan Marie Candy; his son Albert Thomas IV; his stepfather Burton Bancroft; his brothers, Thomas Candy and Burton Bancroft Jr.; and his sister-in-law Barbara Bancroft.
He is survived by: his children, David Richard (Sherri) of Oklahoma City, OK, Annice Lea and Linda Kathleen (Bobby) of Anadarko, OK; his wife Lucille; his daughters, Jeannine Gasseling (Tom) of Hemingford, NE and Ann Lawson (Gene) of Manhattan, KS; his granddaughter Heather Kratzer (Brett) of Lodgepole, NE; his children, Ryan Gasseling (Jennifer) of Hemingford, NE, Laura Bailey (Mike) of Kearney, NE, Matthew Gasseling (Michaela) of Hemingford, NE, Andrew Gasseling (Becky) of Kenesaw, NE, Michele Morken of Oklahoma City, OK, Seth Speigel (Kathy) of Yukon, OK, Teresa Candy of Oklahoma City, OK, Jonathon Candy (Lindsay) of Yukon, OK, Alex Pedraza of Oklahoma City, OK, Sam Lawson (Michelle) of Topeka, KS, Candra Good (Brad) of Sheridan, WY, Amy Lewis (Tony) of Manhattan, KS, Kayla Maldonado (Ben) of Manhattan, KS, Jesse Barrow (Kelsey) of Piedmont, OK and Hillary Bradshaw (David) of Harrah, OK; his brother John Bancroft of Dallas, TX; and his sister-in-law Evelyn Bancroft of St. Cloud, MN. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be sent to Traditions Hospice of Lawton.
