It is always difficult saying goodbye to someone we love and cherish. Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Edith Meier (Laverne, Oklahoma), born in Alva, Oklahoma, who passed away at the age of 67, on March 30, 2020. She was predeceased by: her parents, Earl Kilmer and Edith Kilmer. She is survived by: her brothers, Stanley Jay and Terry Earl; her son Michael David of Huntsville, Alabama; her husband Tommie Meier of Laverne, Oklahoma; her daughter Tamara Brunk (Nick) of Ardmore, Oklahoma; and her brothers, Stan Kilmer of Norman and Terry Kilmer (Mary) of Geyserville, California. She is also survived by numerous cousins and other relatives.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a memorial scholarship fund at the Bank of Laverne PO Box 1147 Laverne, OK 73848.

“Erlene was a great Algebra teacher. She lived just down the street from me. I spent many evenings down in her trailer along w other classmates getting free tutoring from her for Algebra. She was very passionate about helping all of us. We did other things during her class that was fun as well. I remember doing String Art. We picked a pattern, punched holes in heavy cardboard and made beautiful string art w colorful thread. I have many other great memories of Erlene at school.”
