He was predeceased by: his parents, Gilford Hiten and Bessie Lee Hiten (Wheeler); and his siblings, A. K. Hiten, Betty Jo McCurry and Dana Lee Briggs.
He is survived by: his wife Lila Swords; his son Mitchell Larry Hiten (Margaret) of Broken Arrow; his brother Gary Hiten (Bobbi) of Colorado Springs, Colorado; his grandchildren, Rachel Hiten and Ryan Hiten of Broken Arrow; and his great grandchildren, Haven Hiten and Jaxton Springer.
