He was predeceased by: his grandson Cole. He is survived by: his wife Pattie Adams; his children, Mike (Michelle Adams), Jeff (Lacey Adams) and Kerri (Ludy Griggs); his grandchildren, Kendall, Devin, Fenley, Emily, Tahlea and Ryder; and his siblings, Maryann Rueter, Chub Long and Lee Long.

Memorials may be made in his honor to the Disabled American Veterans or St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
