He was predeceased by: his parents, Alice Leanna Roberts (Stubblefield) and L. D. Roberts. He is survived by: his wife Rose M. Wood (Shipman); his children, Roy Lee Roberts, Jr. of Krebs and Cassie Kerns of Oklahoma City; his stepchildren, Lesley Wood of Krebs, Jerrie Wood, Billie Williamson of McAlester, Bobbie Wood of McAlester and Donna Wood of Missouri; and his brothers, Larry Don Roberts of Ashland and James Andy Roberts of Ashland. He is also survived by 32 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and numerous other family members and friends.
