He is survived by: his wife Barbara Gibson; his children, Josh Gibson, Tony Webster, Alexander Gibson, Carolyn and Matthew Davenport; and his siblings, Richard Gibson, Connie Hicks, Sharon Gipson, Donna Lowther, Teresa Harrison and Patricia Beall. He is also survived by ten grandchildren.
