He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Hamilton Shields and Olive Vivian Shields Talbort (Tucker); his wife Anna Marie Shields; his daughter Shawnya Brown; and his siblings, Audie Shields, Sr., Richard Shields and Roberta Smith.
He is survived by: his children, Chris Shields (Carla) of McAlester and Tami Shipley (Don) of Krebs; his grandchildren, Matthew Brown, Josh Brown (Amber Ivey), Ryan Shields, Carter Shields (Renae) and Catherine Elizabeth Shields; his great grandchildren, Caleb Brown and Benjamin Shields; his close friend Alice Kopenhiemer of McAlester; his nephew Audie Shields, Jr.; and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Amber Sanders (Ryan) of McAlester and Ande Ried (Tim) of McAlester. He is also survived by other nieces, nephews and other family and friends.
