He was predeceased by: his mother Alma Louise Eakle (Mason); his son Dennis Ray Eakle; and his father Paul Eugene. He is survived by: his former spouse Jean Stubblefield; his wife Alice Eakle; his children, Scott Eakle, Patrick Foor (Teresa) and Cora Foor Rizley (Kim); his granddaughters, Amanda Eakle Lynch (Blake) and Rusty Eakle (Jill); and his great grandchildren, Bayleigh Bates, Cathlin Glynn, Gunner Eakle, Savannah Eakle, Faren Lynch, Teddie Lynch, Gifford Lynch, Ashlie Foor Thomas (Cole), Erich Foor (Jeanette), Kyle Foor (Darian), Katlyn Foor March (Spencer), John Patrick Akin and Blake Akin.
