He was predeceased by: his parents, Lee A. Hughes and Dell Merrell Hughes; and his brother Glen Hughes. He is survived by: his wife Roberta Hughes (Dansby); his children, Roger Hughes (Renee) of Wagoner, OK, Karen Gardner (Terry) of Ada and Dale Lee Hughes (Allison) of Konawa; his grandchildren, Joshua N. Hughes, Micha Hughes, Jeremy Harbin, Nathan Sanders, Joshua Brent Hughes, Caleb Hughes, Kaylee Hughes and Reid Hughes; and his sister Loetta Sanders (Dale). He is also survived by six great-grandchildren.
The cause of death was many years of devoted labor and Parkinson's Disease.
