He was predeceased by: his parents, Bill Murray Ricks and Sharon Kay Ricks (Hill); and his brother David K. Ricks. He is survived by: his siblings, Todd L. Ricks (Kristy) of Midland, Texas and Mary Kay Sweetin of Pittsburg; his sister-in-law Mary Ellen Ricks of Jacksboro, Texas; his nieces and nephews, Brady Ricks (Kourtney), Bob Ricks (Dana) of Jacksboro, Jared Sweetin (Holly) of Pittsburg, Ethan Ricks, Will Ricks, Cody Vaughn (Cassidy), Hillary Sweetin-Lewis (Ronald) of Noble, Lyndi Church (Curtis) of Hartshorne, Taylor Ricks, Emma Ricks, Molly Ricks and Alyssa Vaughn; and his uncles, Robert "Bob" Hill (Jean) and J. R. Ricks (Marie).
