He was predeceased by: his wife Patsy Sweetin; his parents, Ben Sweetin and Francine Sweetin (Christman); his siblings, Ben Shirley Sweetin, Faye Newton and Mae Stiles; his niece Sherril Wood (Teresa Shields); his nephews, Johhny Newton and Chris Newton; and his siblings-in-law, Harlen Stiles and Alice Sweetin.
He is survived by: his siblings, Bil Sweetin, Jane Nyre, Sena Sheilds and Freida McKinney; his children, Jimmy Ray Wood, Judy Griffin and Julia Ann Linscott; his niece Melissa Wood; and his close friend Ricky Griffin.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 26th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Chaney-Harkins Funeral Home (528 S 3rd St, McAlester, OK 74501). A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, November 27th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Pittsburg Cemetery - Pittsburg.
