We are sad to announce that on May 25, 2022, at the age of 79, Helen Shields of Kiowa, Oklahoma, born in Stringtown, Oklahoma passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Milliard H. Mitchell and Mamie Elizabeth Mitchell (Richardson); her husband Francis L. Shields; her daughter Regina Dawn; and her siblings, Sally White, Lora Janese "Jan" Edge, Irma Rains, Dorothy Carpenter, Glen Mitchell, Richard Mitchell and Jack McDaniel.

She is survived by: her children, Rhonda Calvert (Kelly) of Kiowa, OK and Russell Shields (Kim) of Stigler, OK; her grandchildren, Chris Parker (Dana) of Quinton, OK, Seth Shields (Kaday) of Eufaula, OK, Shane Shields (Jerrica) of Kiowa, OK, Shay Calvert (Michalina) of Durant, OK, Sayre Shields of Stigler, OK and Megan Scanlon (John) of Hartshorne, OK; her great grandchildren, Bryar, Gunner Parker, Foster Carney, Colt James Francis Shields, Riot Dean Scanlon, Aurora Carney, Elizabeth Marie Shields, Gentry Dee Weaver, Bentley Calvert and Kyler Inez Scanlon; and her sisters, Margaret Hogan of Bentley, OK and Rena Workman (Jimmy) of Caney, OK. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear and loved friends.
