He was predeceased by: his parents, Doyal Virgil Gibbs and Myrtle Sue Gibbs (Richey); and his siblings, Miller, Harold Miller, Edwin Gibbs, James Gibbs, Joe Bill Gibbs, Tranquil W. Richardson and Lucy Imogene Gibbs.

He is survived by: his nephew Neil Ray Richardson; his friends, Joe Edwards and Joe Lynn Edwards (Staci); and also, Gabe and Jackson.
