She is survived by: her mother Martha Viola Mercier (Oliphant); her children, Andrew Backenstoes of Kingston, Oklahoma, Emily Backenstoes of Kingston and Taylor Backenstoes of Kingston, Oklahoma; and her siblings, Eric Mercier of Mannsville, Yolanda Mercier-Hughs of Denham Springs, Jude Mercier of Walker and Michel Mercier of Mannsville. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other extended family and friends.
