He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence E. Baxter and Susie J. Baxter; his brothers, Clarence H. Baxter and Jimmy C. Baxter; his former wife Guelda Fay Baxter; his children, Raymond Charles Baxter and Cynthia Marie Baxter; and his brother Joe Baxter.
He is survived by: his siblings, Johnny W. Baxter of Denison, Texas. and Virginia A. Baxter (Dewey Bowers) of Cartwright; his wife Linda Whitehead of Toney; his children, Cheryl (Arnold Maraffi) of Sherman, Decco Baxter of Kingston and Bryan (Alisa Baxter) of Kingston; and his stepdaughters, Kitty (Tim Gilbert) of Anna and Kelly (Mike Stephens) of Sawyer, Oklahoma.. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren.
