He was predeceased by: his parents, Clyde E. Baird and Lillie Mae Hollingsworth Baird; his former wife Brenda Lawson; his son Calvin Roy Lawson Jr.; and his sisters, Gloria Jean Lawson Woolard and Linda Sue Baird Martin.
He is survived by: his wife Cynthia Lawson; and his children, Lisa West, Teresa Lawson, Scott Lawson, Troya Roberts and Buddy.
