He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Richard and Matilda Richard (Hulin); his sons, R. C. Manriquez and Carl Richard; and his siblings, Woodley, Patrick, Steven and Bell Richard.
He is survived by: his wife Roberta Martinez; his children, Kirk Richard (Lori) of Louisiana, Robert Manriquez (Tom) of Shreveport, Tyler Richard (Maureen) of Liberal, Kansas, Nancy Ritter of Louisiana and Erica Averett (Thomas) of Louisiana; and his sisters, Ann Roy (Raymond) of Scott and Mary Richard of Port Barre, Louisiana. He is also survived by ten grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
