He is survived by: his parent Doyal Nelson; his wife Laura; his daughter Amanda; his grandchildren, Nicholas, Ethan, Emily, Brendyn and Ambryss; his mother Iler Nelson of Keota, OK; and his brother Gary Nelson of Cowington, OK. He is also survived by several other relatives and friends He was preceded in death by his father.
