With heavy hearts, we announce the death of William Schmidt (Kansas, Oklahoma), born in Kansas City, Missouri, who passed away on July 20, 2018 at the age of 80. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Darlene Harris Schmidt; his parents, Mary Helen Moore Schmidt and William Fred Schmidt, Sr.; his brother-in-law Damon Philip Smith, III; and his nephews, Damon Philip Smith, IV and Tatum Cummings Smith.
He is survived by: his sons-in-law, Debbie Barrett, Ty Barrett of Fort Smith, Cecilia Yi, Timothy Yi of Cincinnati, Sally Anne Schmidt and Marc Tabolsky of Houston; his grandchildren, William Kaleb Yi, Abigail Yi, Catie Barrett, Julia Schmidt Tabolsky and Sarah Schmidt Tabolsky; his uncle Moore, Jr.; his wife Betty Jane of Dallas; his sister Sara Smith of New Canaan; his nephew Casey Smith of Austin; and his grandchildren, Christina Green and Aaron Green.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorial contributions be made either to the Spiro School Foundation for Excellence in Education, P.O. Box 127, Spiro, OK 74959.
