He was predeceased by: his parents, Leroy Chester Stanley and Jean M. Thomsen Stanley; and his brother Joe Stanley. He is survived by: his wife Karmon; his children, Steven Von Tungeln of Yukon, Sara Stanley, Josh Wurdeman of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Scott Stanley of Norman and Forrest Friday of Norman, Oklahoma; his grandchildren, Jack, Finley Von Tungeln, Sagan Stanley and Arya Friday; and his siblings, Alice Stanley (Darrell Richardson) and Kurt Stanley of Okarche.
