He is survived by: his wife Ruella Marie Yates (Dockins); his brother Tom (Susan) of Meadow View, Virginia; his son John Marcus Yates (Marc) of New Orleans, Louisiana; his grandchildren, Andrew Hanson (Jackie) of Cypress, Eric Hanson of Houston and Rachel Glander of Norman, Oklahoma; and his great grandchildren, Abigail Hanson, Korbin and Kourtlyn Chreene.
