He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Whitfield and Myrtle Whitfield (Whitwell); his daughter Sherrie; his sisters, Peggy Eldridge and Louise Wells; and his grandson Daniel Whitfield.

He is survived by: his former spouse Sharimon Hammontree; his wife Darlene McGlaughlin; his son Tracy Whitfield (Sheila) of Sapulpa; his brothers, Cleo Robison (Jerry) of Dustin and Tommy Robison of Lamar; his grandchildren, Aubrey Watts, Chad and Jared Burridge; and his great grandchildren, Audrey Drake, Wyatt, Avery, Payton Burridge, Hayden Doughtery, Luke, Daniel Burridge, James, Dani Kate and Eliza Watts. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.

“Don was one of the best well-rounded fellows I know! He blessed everyone that knew him! He was also an excellent artist but with all he ever did, I wondered how he found time. His sense of humor was beautiful and he found the greatest words to share, never saying a bad word about anyone. I always caught him building up the discouraged and lately even posting on his media pages, the most high-minded, heavenly thoughts. A truly unique Christian and never pushy. Cody and I love him.”
