He was predeceased by: his father Raymond King; his wife Mary Lou Hopkins; and his siblings, Leota McCurry, Wayne King and Ray King.

He is survived by: his children, Rodney King (Amy), Karla James (Bryan) and Roger King (Sherry); his grandchildren, Kallee King, Jasper King, Kassi Wilson (Austin), Bailey King, Blake King (Morgan) and Brylee King; his siblings, Roy King (Linda), Kathryn Hendrix (Chester) and Wilma Goodwin; and his sister-in-law Judy King. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorial contributions may be made to the First United Methodist Church of Morris in Carl's memory.
