He was predeceased by: his siblings, Leroy, Virgil Benefield, Dorothy Jean Benefield and Joyce Jordan; his daughter Jeanie Hambleton; his stepson Rick Phillips; his grandson Michael Mitchell; and his former wife Betty Dilbeck.
He is survived by: his former wife Betty Eakin; his wife Retha of Anderson, MO; his siblings, Ethel Price of Madill, OK and Jack Benefield (Wilma) of Claremore, OK; his children, Janet Jacobs (Gary) of Isabel, Kansas, Russell Benefield (Lea Ann) of Heavener, OK and J. D. Benefield of Mountain Berg, Ark.; his son-in-law Bob Hambleton of Checotah, OK; and his grandchildren, Bobbie, Austin, Jake, Missy, Newly of Olivia, T. J., Kim, Jodi, Jeff, Zach, Jennifer, Jeremy, Sara, Camille, Chance, Kayla and Ben. He is also survived by 18 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews; extended family and friends.
