He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Clare and Leona Mae Cottrill (Payne); his stepfather Charlie Becker; his son Zane Cottrill; and his siblings, Bobby Don Cottrill, Phillip Cottrill Sr. and Donnelle Gayle Sholtess (Cottrill).
He is survived by: his children, Zach Cottrill and Tiffany Cottrill (Doug); his grandchildren, Cameran Cottrill, Colton Cottrill and Casen Cottrill; and his brother Sidney Cecil Watson (Thelda).
