It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Wilbur Dale Shirley of Indianola, Oklahoma, who passed away on April 29, 2023, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, David Daniel Shirley and Artie Mae Ruble Shirley (Ruble); his wife Barbara Shirley (Black); his siblings-in-law, C. H. Black, Sr. and Nadean Black (Luker); his brothers, Roy (Katy Shirley) and Joe (Fonzine Shirley); his brothers-in-law, Jessie Howard, Hack Black, Jr. and Wendell Black; and his nephews, David Shirley and Steven Holman.
He is survived by: his children, John Shirley (Ronda), Roger Shirley (Michelle) of Indianola and Leslie Annette White (Jimmy) of McAlester; his sister Florence Howard; his sisters-in-law, Sharon Black and Eva Black; his grandchildren, Justin (April), Vernetta, Chris (Dena), Leslie (Denver), James Dailey (Haley) and Roger (Cassey); his great grandchildren, Mackenzie (Lane), Cooper, Maci, Clayton, Carson, Brody, Faith, Toni, Brynli, Kaden, Kyleigh and Emma; and his great great grandchild Kash.
