It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Larry Douglas Brinkley of Idabel, Oklahoma, born in McAlester, Oklahoma, who passed away on August 15, 2023, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Douglas O'Connor Brinkley and Geraldine Bunch Brinkley; and his son Bret Douglas Brinkley. He is survived by: his uncle Bob; his wife Laura Nell; his son David; his daughter-in-law Melissa Brinkley of Idabel; his daughter Brawna; his son-in-law Erick Gfeller of Edmond, OK.; his grandchildren, Ashlyn Howlett of Springfield, MO, BreeAnn (Bradley Campbell) of Idabel, OK, Jace Brinkley of Springfield, MO, Tristain Gfeller of Oklahoma City, OK and Zoe Gfeller of Edmond, OK; his great grandchildren, Jaxon Penniman of Springfield, MO and Brighton Campbell of Idabel, OK; his sister Donna Brinkley of Broken Bow, OK; his niece Tawsha (Aaron Davenport); and his nephew Shawn Phillips.

In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to the Larry Brinkley Memorial Fund at the Farmers Bank in Idabel.
