With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Kaye Strickland of Idabel, Oklahoma, born in Fort Towson, Oklahoma, who passed away on February 12, 2025 at the age of 74. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Howard Cooper and Bonnie Cooper (Lick); and her husband Jimmy Strickland. She is survived by: her children, Kendall Sorrels of Idabel, OK and Jimmy Strickland (Kelly) of Talladega, AL; her grandchildren, Isabella DiBucci, Easton Sorrels, Elyssa Sorrels, Gage Strickland and Dylan Strickland; her sisters, Phyllis Turnage of Bonham, TX and Jody Wheeler of Valliant, OK; and her close friend Jimmy Denison.
Visitation was held on Sunday, February 16th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Miller and Miller Funeral Home - Valliant (201 East Wilson St, Valliant, OK 74764). A funeral service was held on Monday, February 17th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, February 17th 2025 at the Wheelock Cemetery.
