He was predeceased by: his parents, Lelan Royce and Jean Jones. He is survived by: his wife Deborah; his son Samuel Ramey; his stepsons, Thomas Brown (Tiffany) and Jacob Ramey; his daughter-in-law Alicia Smith; his sisters, Linda Jones and Deborah McBrayer; his grandchildren, Ethan Johnston, Farrell Potts, Dakota Johnston and Brittany Johnston; and his stepgrandchildren, Taylor Brown, Daniel Brown and Joshua Brown. He is also survived by his grandchildren and his beloved four dogs.

The family has postponed the memorial service for Monday, January 17, 2022, due to COVID.
