He was predeceased by: his father Eddie May; his uncle Benny; and his grandparents, Jim, Mildred Roberson and Edna May.
He is survived by: his mother Shelba May; his sons, Brandon Edward May of Baton Rouge, LA and Benny Joe May of Maine; his sister Teresa Landon (Tim Landon) of Dallas, TX; his uncle Jimmy Roberson (Muriel) of Idabel, OK; his close friend Sue John of Idabel, OK.; and his grandson Jefferson.
