He is survived by: his wife Josie; his daughter-in-law Joy Bates of Tulsa, OK; his siblings, Alene Wicker of Idabel, OK and John Bates of Liberty Hill, TX; and his sister-in-law Jean of Liberty Hill, TX. He is also survived by sons and daughters-in-law, Rev. Ronnie Bates of Idabel, OK, Rev. Mike Bates and Debbie of Rush Springs, OK and Paul Bates and Tammy of Bowie, TX; daughters and son-in-law.
