He was predeceased by: his parents, Othie Smith and Bettie Smith (Millwee); his daughter-in-law Rhonda Smith; and his brother-in-law B. J. Peveler. He is survived by: his wife Ila Belle; his children, Wayne (Janice) of Colony, Terry (Diana) of Hinton and Debbie (David Lasley) of Hydro; his grandchildren, Chad, Brandon Smith, Dusty, Darren Lasley, Crystal Goodman, Alicia and Kyle Patterson; and his sister-in-law Pearl Peveler. He is also survived by 15 great-grandchildren.
