He was predeceased by: his parents, Cecil Clyde Gunnels and Geneva Maye Gunnels (McGreggor); and his siblings, Cecil Clyde Gunnels, Jr., Larry Don Gunnels, Kaye Clawson, Anita Schlottman and Karen Rhodes King.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara Gunnels (Smith) of Hugo, OK; his sons, Mike (Megan) of Fountain, CO and Joey (Amy) of Llano, TX; and his grandchildren, Brayden, Jacob, Alayna and Brantley. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws.
Visitation was held on Friday, December 20th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Miller and Miller Funeral Home - Hugo (3151 E Jackson St, Hugo, OK 74743). A funeral service was held on Saturday, December 21st 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Shoals Baptist Church.
