She was predeceased by: her husband Horace Wenford Slaton; her parents, Izoria Dorothy (Linkswiler) and William Calvin Brown; her siblings, Margie Turner, Pauline Davis, Billy Brown and Berl Glaze; and her children, Barbara Freeman, Connie Payne and Rowland Slaton.
She is survived by: her daughters, LaRinda Vaughan (Joseph) of Poteau, OK, Arthea Tempel (Joshua) of Buckhorn, OK and Shirley Hagen of Big Lake, Alaska; and her grandchildren, Jasmin Blair, Kathryn Tempel, Malyn Anderson, Monica Covington, Misty Tims, Marc Blair, Charles Tempel, Marc Greer and Eric Sherwood. She is also survived by great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
