With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Geary Lee Byrd (Hugo, Oklahoma), born in Lawton, Oklahoma, who passed away on November 4, 2024 at the age of 78. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Lloyd Byrd (Jeanie Byrd) and Vallene Baxter (James Yarmuk); his siblings, Thomas Johnson, Cheryl Herman and Susan Burns; and his uncle Harold Byrd (Joyce Byrd).

He is survived by: his wife Barbara Byrd; his daughters, Traci Byrd of Hugo and Kristin Parra (Gustavo Parra) of Hugo; his grandchildren, Bryce Parra, Brandon Cavallini, Cameron Cavallini, Peyton Parra and Blake Parra; his siblings, Pennye Byrd Shafer (Rod Shafer) of Ardmore, OK, Trudy Blaylock (Keith Blaylock) of Kallispell, MT and Vickie Estrella of Jackson, MS.; and his nieces and nephews, Carrie Johnson Horvath, Kevin Johnson, Tracy Herbig, Lydia Estrella, Dylon Herman, Haley Herman, Danielle Eder, Summer Burns and Katie Burns. He is also survived by cousins, great nieces and nephews, extended family.

A memorial service was held on Saturday, November 9th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Old Culture Center (1005 S 5th St, Hugo, OK 74743).
