He was predeceased by: his parents, William Edwin Burns and Viola Gladys Burns (Cozart); his wife Rita "Oma" Ann Burns (Davis); and his siblings, Edwin Burns and Doris Ruff.
He is survived by: his son Trent Burns (Kim) of Fort Towson, OK; his grandchildren, Johnathan Burns (Kristine) and Kara Ford (Patrick); his great grandchildren, Garrett, Bruce, Hattie, Millie and Freya; and his sister Carol Graham of Denton, TX.
