He is survived by: his wife Patsy Elder; his children, Carolyn Jones (Freddy), Chris Benson (Ronnie), Joe Elder, Cy Elder and Lynn Elder (Tracie); his grandchildren, Wes Jones, Rhonda Gatchek, Russell Elder, Toby Benson, Rocky Benson, Brad Benson, Sam Elder, Kristen Ferguson, Devon Elder, Danica Elder, Danetta Elder, Dalton Elder, Randy Elder and Michael Elder; and his close friends, Harley, Shelly Boyd and Michael Weaver Numerous. He is also survived by Numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other loved ones, and friends.
