He was predeceased by: his parents, Sam W. Kachel and Mary M. Kachel (Bukowski); his siblings, Letha, Ethel, Bertha, Alice and Howard; and his wife Joan.
He is survived by: his siblings-in-law, Dean Overton of Portales and Mary Overton of Beaver; his grandchildren, Brendan Kachel, Jarret Kachel and Keaton Kachel; and also, Connie, Phillip White of Wichita, Kan, Lea, Michael Morgan of Oklahoma City, Stan, Shari Kachel of Hooker and Okla. He is also survived by several cousins, nieces and nephews, as well as his children.
