He was predeceased by: his parents, George Robert and Katie Mertyl Burton (Overholser); his siblings, James Burton, Robert Burton, William McCamey, Barbara Schwab, Margaret Fitzsimmons and Pansey Cox; and his grandson Andrew McDaniel.
He is survived by: his friend Marcine Baze; his children, Debra Schmidt (Michael), Tammy Cartwright (John), Michael Burton and Jenny Watashe (Tony Maker); and his brother Kenneth Burton. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren, and a host of great grandchildren.
