He was predeceased by: his parents, Emory Carter and Bonnie Tyler Carter; and his sister Judy Fay Carter. He is survived by: his wife Brenda Carter; his children, Christie Garrett, James Garrett (Erica) and Melinda Carter (David Einstein); and his grandchild Colt Garrett.
Viewing was held on Tuesday, December 17th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Wednesday, December 18th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM at the Powell Funeral Home (223 North Wood Street, Hominy, OK 74020). A funeral service was held on Thursday, December 19th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the First Assembly of God Church - Wynona (413 Highland Ave, Wynona, OK 74084). A graveside service was held on Thursday, December 19th 2024 from 2:30 PM to 3:00 PM at the Powell Memorial Cemetery.
