He was predeceased by: his parents, Luther Chance and Mattie Bohannon Chance; and his sisters, Juanita Brewer, Edith Tabor and Reva Ballard Simmons.
He is survived by: his daughters, Amy Cobb of Hollis and Mandi Brown (BJ Brown) of Hollis; his wife Rita Wadley; his grandchildren, Jessie Cobb, Tyler Cobb, Mattie Brown and Jaden Brown; his great grandchildren, Ellie Cobb, Wrenlee Wylie, Rylee Cobb and Hattie Cobb; and his sister Faye Mayhall (Monte) of Monahans, TX.. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
