It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joshua Caleb Whetstine (Holdenville, Oklahoma), who passed away on November 5, 2023, at the age of 45, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his father Kenneth Whetstine; his grandparents, Raul, Martha Chavez, Herman, Margaret Simpson, Kenneth and Louise Whetstine; his uncles, Rodney Simpson and Kim Simpson; and his cousin Tyler Bourne.
He is survived by: his parent Valeri Chavez (Pepe) of Mounds, Oklahoma.; his daughter Brooklyn Azlin (Dex) of Wewoka; his grandchildren, Carter Azlin and Addi Azlin; his siblings, Seth Whetstine (Shari) of Sapulpa, Gretchen Mooney (Jeff) of Mounds, Hayden Chavez of Mounds and Dillon Whetstine (Melissa) of Seminole; his nieces and nephews, Cody, Beau, Bryce, Stevie, Davie, Kaylin, Madi, Presleigh, Jayden, Chandler, Owen, Azlyn and Braxton; his great-niece Marleigh Mae; and his aunts and uncles, Raul Chavez, Jaime Chavez, Martha Balderrama and Crystal Bourne. He is also survived by numerous other relatives and friends.
