He was predeceased by: his parents, Julian Sr. and Manuela; and his siblings, Gilbert Alonzo, Thomas Alonzo, Simona Juarez, Maria Coronado, Minerva Aguilar and Baby Junior.

He is survived by: his son Derek J. Alonzo; his wife Gina Alonzo of Lemmon, SD.; and his siblings, Dolores Price (Fred Ruth F.), Cardona Emma Shandor (Phil Margie Jackson) and Andy Alonzo (Suzy Numerous). He is also survived by Numerous nieces, nephews, and other family members.
