He is survived by: his wife LaQueta Sue Dowdy; his daughter DeAnne Sanders (Dowdy); his son-in-law Stephen Sanders; his granddaughters, Tara Sanders and Rachel Sanders; his niece Beverly Smith (Charles); his great-nieces, Amy Griffith (Karl) and Elizabeth Smith; and his great-nephew David Smith. He is also survived by several great-grandnieces and great-grandnephews and many cousins.
