He was predeceased by: his parents, Wiley Shoemaker and Willie Mae Shoemaker (Duffy); his son Jeffery Shane Shoemaker; and his brothers, Gene and Felton Shoemaker.
He is survived by: his wife Tammy Shoemaker; his daughter Jennifer Lott (Frank) of Pilot Point, Texas; his daughter-in-law Nyssa Shoemaker; his grandchildren, Garrett (Chrissy Taylor), Mackenzie (Aodhan Ryan), Channing, Graycyn Lott, Drikeston Shoemaker, Andi Hice and Payton Shoemaker; his great grandchildren, Melody and Jack Taylor; and his siblings, Roy (Lore Shoemaker), Hershel (Pat Shoemaker), John Paul (Mary Shoemaker), Edith Turner and Diana Kolb (Troy).
