He was predeceased by: his parents, Ella Taylor (Walker) and Bennie Taylor; his sister Thelma Jane Harley; and his stepchildren, Irene Lewis and Andrew Long.
He is survived by: his wife Netta Jean (Jacobs); his siblings, Hettie Taylor and Roley Taylor; and his daughter Candice Taylor. He is also survived by 4 stepchildren, numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and six, great-great-grandchildren as well as a host of nieces, nephews.
