She was predeceased by: her parents, Earnest Smith and Ruth Morgan Smith; her son-in-law Lee Otis Roberts; and her brothers, James Michael Smith, David and Ernie.
She is survived by: her former husband Harry Oliver West; her children, Hank West, Jr., Christy Shaw, Christopher "Todd" West, Teresa Roberts and Travis West (Melinda); her siblings, Paul Smith (Jerri) and Lena Roach (V. T.); her sisters-in-law, Violet Smith and Debbie Smith Highfill; and her close friend David Perry. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren.
