It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joseph Cowan of Henryetta, Oklahoma, born in Poteau, Oklahoma, who passed away on September 18, 2020, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Agee Cowan and Grace Goodman (Cowan); his son Anek Cowan; his sister Martha Bogle; and his stepfather Woodrow Goodman.
He is survived by: his wife Boaleio Cowan; his children, Joyce Towler of Wilburton, Joseph Wayne Cowan of Florida, Linda Sharp of Oklahoma City and James Cowan of Eufaula; and his brother Billy R. Cowan of Jenks. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.
