He was predeceased by: his parents, Charlie E. Harelson and Lora Mae Harelson (Hendrix); his wife Mildred L. Tarwater; and his siblings, Richard, Elmer Harelson, Virginia Kanada and Frankie Moats.
He is survived by: his children, Terry Harelson (Teresa) of Okemah and Gail Ragsdale (James) of Glenwood, Arkansas; his brother James Harelson (Irene) of Muskogee, Oklahoma; and his grandchildren, Jessica Sparkman, Jamie Dixon, Josh Harelson, Justin Ragsdale, Caleb Harelson and Elijah Harelson. He is also survived by six great-grandchildren.
