He was predeceased by: his parents, Charlie Nute and Minnie May Loyd (Matthews); and his siblings, Sherman Loyd, Melvin Loyd, Welda Nailon, Glenda Fay Boone, Donna June Hobbs and Rita Gayle Aytes.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Ellen Loyd; his children, Deborah Denise Underhill, Vickie Eileen Lewis (John Kenneth Lewis II) and David Ray Loyd; his grandchildren, Patrick Wayne Underhill, Derek Lynn Underhill, Caleb Blake Lewis, Ocean Nicole Lewis, Alexander Scott Underhill and Jacob Harold Underhill; his great grandchildren, Sidney, Jason, Azazel, Aurora and Alice; and his siblings, Dewayne Brim (Loretta), Charlene Pipins, Ellen Whittet (David) and Linda Ramsey. He is also survived by many other relatives and friends.
